Drum Property Group was appointed by Scottish Enterprise (SE) in June 2017 to deliver the next generation of business, residential and amenity space at Pacific Quay, Glasgow.
The project at Pacific Quay represents a rare and exciting opportunity to create an exemplar development at a key strategic site for Glasgow, and one of Scotland’s most promising locations. The site extends to approximately 3.0 hectares (7.4 acres) and forms a significant part of the final stages in the wider Pacific Quay masterplan.
Pacific Quay is on the doorstep of the SSE Hydro and Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) as well as home to the BBC Scotland and STV headquarters. These attributes have made Pacific Quay a prosperous and attractive destination that will appeal to a wide range of occupiers
Research undertaken with local stakeholders, and within the commercial and residential market, concluded that the proposed site must address a fundamental live / work balance for the development and wider area.
Currently, the area lacks in amenity and services, and has no activity or life after 5pm. In addition to 30,000 sq m2 of business space, Drum is proposing to introduce 60 residential units, with accompanying retail, café culture and services to ensure a bustling social hub, as well as a micro distillery, with restaurant and café, which would provide an additional tourist and commercial attraction, bringing visitor spend and footfall into the area.
