Statoil Planning Approved at Prime Four.
Detailed plans for a new operations centre and head office for Statoil’s UK North Sea development and production activities have been approved by Aberdeen City Council.
Prime Four developers Drum Property Group will start construction on 45,000 square foot facility (with potential to expand to 90,000 square feet) before the end of 2014 for the Norwegian multinational oil and gas company.
The Statoil complex at Prime Four will be the operations centre for the Mariner field and possible future Statoil operated field developments on the UK Continental Shelf.
Prime Four is now firmly established as a major world energy centre. Leading oil and gas industry players Nexen, Transocean and Apache are already based at the park and Statoil will join Premier Oil, OneSubsea and Village Urban Resorts in Prime Four’s second phase.
Also opening in the second phase before the end of the year is the Fourcourt plaza, designed to be the park’s social hub. Development of the plaza will see a wide range of additional amenities and services, including the provision of pre-school childcare at Kingswellies Nursery, introduced to the park.
