Construction Work Begins on Premier Building.
Construction work on the new state-of-the art 70,000 sq ft UK North Sea base for Premier Oil plc is now underway at Prime Four.
Premier is a leading FTSE 250 independent exploration and production company with interests in the North Sea, South East Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Pakistan and the Falkland Islands. The company will take up residence in their bespoke offices by mid-2014, and will join other oil majors Apache, Nexen and Transocean at Prime Four, enhancing the park’s growing reputation as the business destination of choice for the energy industry.
Prime Four developers Drum Property Group Director Stuart Oag commented: “The Premier complex will be the first building in Phase 2 of the park, and will see Drum’s investment in Prime Four climb to over £125 million. Negotiations are at an advanced stage with other prospective tenants for this second phase, and we expect these to be successfully concluded in the near future.”
Mike Skitmore, Premier’s UK Business Unit Manager, said Prime Four was “a quality development”, and added that the relocation to the park at Kingswells was a sign of the energy firms long-term commitment to the North Sea.
Prime Four has been planned as a world class business park, the first of its type in Aberdeen and the buildings will provide sustainable, high quality office accommodation in attractive, properly planned and landscaped settings.
