Drum Wins at Property Awards - Graeme Bone receives Business Leadership Award
Graeme Bone, Group Managing Director of Drum, was presented with a key business leadership accolade at the largest awards celebration in the Scottish property industry last night. Two of Drum’s most recent completions were also recognised at the independent competition which honours achievements in the real estate sector in front of over 600 guests at the event in Glasgow.
In large scale commercial development, Drum Property Group collected an award for its 10 Clyde Place, Buchanan Wharf. The judges admired this net zero carbon building, purpose-built for tenant The Student Loans Company, which aligns with UK Green Building Council Buildings guidance. Drum also collected a highly commended award for G3 Square, Glasgow, in Build to Rent Development of the year.
The ultimate individual award, the Business Leadership Award, was presented to Graeme Bone. Over the past 30 years, Graeme has built Drum into an award-winning property, investment and management group delivering some of the largest and most ambitious projects in Scotland.
Alan Robertson, Chair of the Judging Panel, commented;
“In an environment which many believe to have been the toughest for decades, it was encouraging to see some excellent progress being made, some critical deals still being completed, funding being secured, and thoughtful redevelopment and design work being progressed. Congratulations to all the winners and all the finalists for being showcased tonight.”
