Redball Cricket Programme Catching on in Aberdeen.
Drum has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Scottish Property Awards 2022, which celebrates excellence in commercial property.
The 9th annual Scottish Property Awards have revealed 38 companies responsible for the developments and teams which have progressed to the finals in 15 categories.
Having been recognised as a finalist at every previous event, this year Drum is shortlisted in both the Regeneration Project of the Year and Property Company of the Year categories.
A judging panel of 20 industry experts assessed and scored entries which featured office developments, hospitals, schools, health and community centres, universities, hotels and regeneration sites across the country.
It is expected that further schools will be added into the programme, next year following health week cricket sessions at several schools.
A celebration festival of cricket took place at Mannofield, the home of Aberdeenshire County Cricket Club today, and such is the demand for cricket, a second event will take place on 14 June.
The Redball programme, is based on Cricket Scotland’s Curriculum for Excellence strategy and is designed to allow maximum participation, assist teachers and pupils to achieve curriculum outcomes, and ensure cricket is delivered in a fun and engaging way.
There are a number of key delivery stakeholders in this ambitious project, including Cricket Scotland and SportScotland, who have contributed to funding the necessary equipment.
